·                     What was the item?
·                     Where and when did you lose it?
·                     What did you do about it?
·                     How did you find it.
Bright-Way’s sample answer
I’m a regular traveler (collocation) to different Places (collocation) and, on my last visit to Mcleod ganj in july 2017, I lost my iPhone X and on found it after an hour.
I remember carrying the phone (cohesion since THE refers to iPhone X in the previous sentence) while entering the main gate of the fair lager and barrel at aura vasila. After about one hour I realized that I was not carrying the phone. My first reaction was that of despair. I could not remember the place where I had lost the precious phone (collocation). However (cohesion), my friend, who (adjective pronoun – cohesion) accompanies me to the fair, advised me to report to the “lost and found section” at the main entrance. I soon reached there (cohesion – refers to “lost and found section”) and reported the color, brand, and model of the phone. The personnel at the gate soon made an announcement requesting anyone who (adjective pronoun) found the phone to report it at the main gate. To my surprise, one of the companies which had set up a display at the fair soon reported with my iPhone. The frustration and tension lasted for more than one hour. However (cohesion), I was soon relieved to receive the device.
I was very tensed because it was a gift from my brother on my birthday moreover it was very expensive

22.    A good law in your country
·                     What the law is
·                     Do you follow it
·                     How do you feel about this law
And explain why you like this law.
Bright-Way’s sample answer
I think that any country cannot run without rules and regulations. Rules make us better
citizens. One important law that comes to my mind was passed about two three years ago
by the ministry of health and family welfare that is Ban on Smoking in the public places.
The law imposes strict ban on the smoking at public places like auditoriums, hospitals,
health centers, parks, hotels, pubs, government offices, courts, educational institutions,
libraries, roads, shopping centers, malls, theaters, stadiums, bus stops, railway stations,
coffee houses, bars, airport lounges etc. Anyone caught smoking in public places
or private organizations can be fined Rs200.
It is generally seen that many people smoke and throw cigarette butts, bedis anywhere
they like which makes the place also very dirty, it can be very dangerous as
there are chances of catching fire. For example, the Calcutta fire recently started
from a cigarette butt.
Although cigarette smoking is a personal decision but when a person smokes other people
around him also inhale smoke and they also get affected. After this rule, now all
hotels, companies and offices should have a special smoking zone and chambers for
smokers. This rule has been imposed very strictly and cameras have been installed
in many places to check people. I heard in the news that the famous Indian movie
star Ajay Devgun was fined Rs1000 as he was caught smoking in Chandigarh Airport.
In addition to this, movies promoting smoking will have to get special certificate.
Overall, although it would be very difficult to implement this rule in all Indian states but, I welcome this rule and I think when so many people die due to tobacco products every year. Such action by the government would be well appreciated by the general public

23.      A website you use frequently
·               What the website was
·               How you fund the address of this website?
·               What the website contained
·                    And explain why it was useful to you.
Bright-Way’s sample answer
I think that’s a very interesting question .There are thousands and thousands of websites
we can see these days. Although it is very difficult to pick up one such website. but if
I had a choice I would choose onestopenglish.com. This is a very useful website for
students learning English. My teacher Mr. Ajayajit recommended it to me. Firstly,
its home page is so attractive and colorful. From the home page we can go to any link
based on our requirement for example I can go to the grammar section and
I can find information related to tenses, verbs and anything that I need to check grammatically.
It has lots of downloads where I can download some exercises and print them for my use.

Secondly there is an easy world news section: in this section you can listen as to
what is happening around the world in very easy English language. The news are
read by students from around the world. I like when I listen to students reading news from
Japan and China. I think I have learnt a lot from this section of the website it has helped
me to improve my accent as well.
In addition to this there is also a lot of material for students preparing for special tests
like IELTS, TOEFL and other English Exams. As me and my friends have also been
preparing for IELTS  I could do a reading, writing and free listening from this section.
You can get your work checked by an expert teacher and get feed back from the teacher.
I also like the video section of this website. Everyday there are many funny videos
that are added to the website for instance, I saw a video of a classroom in Japan and
it was so hilarious but at the same I get motivated that if other students can learn English
from other parts of the world, so can I.
Overall, I think this website is very useful website. I talk about it to my friends, classmates, and recommend it to others as well. You should also definitely visit this very useful website.

24.       An interesting old person you have met
·               Who was the person?
·               How you met that person?
·               Where you met him or her?
and explain why you find him interesting?
Bright-Way’s sample answer
An elderly person who has made a great impression on my life is the local village head (chief)
of my village. His name is Mr. Satwant Singh and he is about 80 years old. In my opinion
he is the most respected man in my entire village. Everybody, right from the small children
to grown up people, have a lot of respect for him.
As a result, He has been the village head from last 30 years. I think I have seen my
village transforming under his dynamic leadership. He has done so much for our village.
For instance, the small primary school with one teacher is now a full fledge college.
So I can say, he has brought education at our doorstep. Now, the student from our village
don’t have to go too far away places for their studies.
He is also the man behind setting up of a big dairy in my village which has created job
resources for people and increased their living standard. Then, our village today boasts of
good roads health facilities, and a park. All the credit for all these facilities goes to this man.
Then, I like him because he leads a very simple life and sets the right example for others. Although he does not have his children of his own yet he pays the fee of many poor children of my village. He is an illiterate person but he actively takes part and promotes education camps for the adults in our village. It is his wish that everybody in our village should be able to read and write.  One more quality that needs a mention here is that although he is in his eighties yet he is very active and healthy, he proudly says that he has always maintained a very healthy lifestyle. Every morning I see him taking a round of the entire village and talking to people. Now he has a dream to set up a sports complex in the village to provide sports facilities to the youngsters. Overall, I can just say that we are blessed with his presence. I pray to God to grant him healthy life wisdom to guide us in the right way.

25.            Something you bought but haven’t used yet
·                     what it was
·                     where you bought it
·                     why you bought it
and explain why you didn’t use it that much.
Bright-Way’s sample answer
Though there are many things we buy after seeing advertisement but rarely use. However
, here I would like to talk about a product that bought but used never.
Last winters it was very cold and there were several power cuts in my home town. That time I was preparing for my exams so I got very upset because of no light and so I decided to buy an emergency light.
I went to the local electrical store to check out some emergency light. The sales man showed me different kinds of emergency light but I like the one with a CD player in it. It was red in color and Philips brand. It had power back up of eight hours and could be charged in one hour. Although little costly because of my need I bought it.
When I brought it home my younger brother/sister was more interested in the CD player rather than the emergency light . from the day I bought it there were no power cuts in my home town.
As there were no more power cuts I didn’t used it  after that day again and neither I have seen it . I think after my IELTS test I will definitely get it out and use when ever possible.

26.       A street market
where the market is
- what the market sells
- how big the market is
- and explain why you enjoyed visiting it.
Bright-Way’s sample answer
As I have told you before, I am from a small town in Bathinda. It’s an upcoming city which
is developing at very fast pace. As far as shopping is concerned, I like to do all my
shopping from a popular market area better known as “Dhobbi Bazzar” which is in the heart
of the city. Its approximately 10 minutes drive from my house. I usually go to this market
place in the evening or in the weekends. I must admit, a lot of city residents come here
for shopping in the weekends and it gets very crowded.
Almost you get everything in this market right from daily groceries, clothes, electronic
gadgets and so on. You name it and they have it here.
The main reason I like this market is that, traffic is restricted in this area. So we can be
carefree while shopping, specially mothers with small children can handle their children easily.
You can take a stroll without bothering for any accident to happen or somebody hitting you from behind.
Secondly, you can get a good bargain here. Unlike the super markets, where you get
everything at a fixed price. Dhobi Bazaar gets you the best deal provided you know
how to bargain. For example, my friend bought a mobile phone from a super marke and I bought
the same phone from Dhobbi Bazaar and there was a huge difference in the price. Thus, it suits my pocket and shopping becomes more fun here.
I like to usually shop in the weekend. I simply call some of my friends and we go there together.
After shopping we like to head towards the popular eat street in Dhobbi Bazzar. We never miss
a chance to try out something new every-time we are here. Specially, Agra tiki house needs a special mention: it’s a hot destination for people who love junk food.. If you happen to visit my hometown you should definitely visit this place.
I have noticed that recently, many new shops are coming up in Dhobbi bazzar. I feel shopping in the future is going to be more interesting here. It’s good for the residents of our city now, they don’t have to rush to Chandigarh or Delhi for their shopping.

27.      A teenager you know
·                     Who is she/he?
·                     When you met her/him?
·                     Do you like her/him?
and explain Why you like her/him?
Bright-Way’s sample answer
There are ample youngsters I know, here I'd like to talk about the one who is not only a teenager
but also a good friend of mine. He is Ankur singh and he is 17 studying in high school. He is a tall and handsome fellow. He usually wears informal attire; however, if a situation requires him to be formal then he never forgets to be in formal dress. He is a sharp cookie, you know, in his recent exam, he was the topper of his class.

I know him since he born as he is paternal Uncle's son, I mean to say he is Cousin. He often pops up whenever he wanted to clear his doubts in his study especially in Mathematics and English subject. We both together spend a great time on weekends, we play Chess, Table Tennis, and Badminton. He is very good at playing all games, you won't believe me, he at least beat me 3 games out of 5.
We both enjoy each other's company. Even though a teenager is a stressful period of life because of physical and biological changes, he always seems to be very active and enthusiastic in his activities. I am really impressed with this. What's more, yeah, he is a reliable person, I share my all secrets with him, he never reveals my secrets to anyone. This is one of a reason that I like him. Moreover his obedient behaviors add glory to his personality.
Lastly, I can say that he is my favourite younger that I know in life. I will always remain his friend cum brother.

28.  Something you made by hand to give to someone
·                     What was it?
·                      When you made it?
·                      How long it took to complete?
and explain how you felt for it?
I don’t usually make things by my own because I am not very gifted in arts and crafts and so I normally don’t make things myself. I prefer to gift people cards and flowers.
However, a few years back when I was in 9th standard , one of my closest friends decided to immigrate to the US. On his last birthday before leaving, I wanted to do something really, special for him.
But unfortunately, I did not have much saved pocket money. So, I went to my mother to get some money to buy him something expensive.
But, my mother suggested me to personally make him something rather than buying him something, which he may not even care to take with him.
At that moment, I came up with an idea of drawing a sketch of me and him together.
It took me a lot of time to come up with something satisfactory since my drawing skills were not so good.
I remember I spent nearly 4 to 5 hours making that sketch. My mother helped me a bit too. The sketch wasn’t that good but I got it framed and gifted it to him on his birthday.
I still remember his shock when he opened my present since he expected it to be a wall painting because of the shape of the present.
But after finding out what it was, his eyes swelled up with tears.
He didn’t say anything, we just hugged each other.
2 months later, when I was talking to him on face-time, I saw our portrait hanging on the wall in the background.
At that time, I realised that nothing could ever be as special as a handmade present

29.  A plant
§     Its name
§     Where it is commonly grown
§     What it looks like
§     And explain why you find it useful.
§     Bright-Way’s sample answer
As you know, I come from Bathinda  which is in the northern part of Punjab. My area is known for producing the best sweet-lemon better known as Kinnos in the local language. Its basically a citrus fruit which grows on the Kinno’s tree which is about 8 feet in height. You can say its just like the orange plant if you have seen one.
But kinnos that grow by these plants are even more sweeter than oranges.
It takes about 4 years time for this plant to bear fruits. The climate of our area is considered to be the ideal for producing the sweetest kinnos in India.
The plant was first planted by a local farmer named Kartar Singh in the 50’s by cross breeding two species of oranges. Later he became so popular that even the first prime of India Pandit Jawharlal Nehru honored him.
The fruit from this plants grows all round the year but ripes in the month of Feburary or early March. It is said that the fog in this season makes it more sweeter.
On an average a full grown plant can yield upto 15 to 40 kgs of Kinnos. When the kinnos ripe the entire orchard turns orange, and it’s a beautiful sight.
If you happen to pass by the orchard during this season you can smell the strong rich orange flavor
These kinnos are mainly exported to other countries and even transported to different parts of our county. We can get it at a much cheaper price in the local market and everybody  enjoys them in this short season.
I feel this tree is very important for the local farmers as it has really changed their living standard by selling this popular fruit. So this is the most important plant that is grown in my area.

30.  A dish eaten in your country on a special occasion
what it is
how you prepare it
what ingredients are used to prepare it
and explain why you enjoy it.
Actually we are punjabies having very rich culture in food. One of the most impressive things about Punjabi food is its variety. But here I am supposed to choose a occasional dish.
The most traditional and occasional meal of us is a kheer, which is traditional but still popular in all over Punjab. Now, its popularity is spreading all over the world. It is a sweet dish which is made by rice, milk, sugar, and some dry fruits. Dry fruits are optional in this as we can add it according to our choice. It feels so delicious in taste as everyone want to have it at least 2 times.
It is so popular due to its relic taste. I am sure no one ignore it once he taste it in his life. Every festival, occasion and marriage party, it is served as a sweet dessert. The reason I enjoy it is its taste and because I have been eating it from my childhood

Due to its large consumption, a company named Verka has started selling kheer product. Their revenue of this product never get down and they have a lot of earning through this product. Nowadays, the life has become more tough as no-one has a time to cook food. So, people have started buying  this product because it is so delicious, available in cheap prices and so there is no need to wait for this item as it is already stored in bakery stores. I am sure with a short span of time, it will definitely be popular in foreign countries too
